Change Country, city, profile details


Login to Fbuds.com and click on 'Edit Profile' from 'Profile Settings' section. Or, click on 'Change Email/Password' and you'll be able to change your email and password. Click here to change your country, city, profile details.

Change Username


Login to Fbuds.com and click on 'Change Username' from 'Profile Settings' section. You can change your username ONLY in the first 7 days from registration.
If you would like to change your username after that you need to cancel your account and create a new profile.

Change Email Address Or Password


Login to Fbuds.com and click on 'Change Email/Password' from 'Profile Settings' section. Or, click on 'Edit Profile' and you'll be able to change your country, city, profile details. Click here to change your username or password.

Blocking Other Users


How Do I Block Other Users From Sending Me Mail?

In order to block other users from mailing you, simply scroll to the bottom of their message, and click on 'Block User'. Or, click on 'Block User' from their profile page.

How Do I Un-Block Other Users?

To unblock someone, click on 'My blocked users' from your homepage to make your selection.

How Do I Know If I've Been Blocked?

You'll know that you're blocked if you get a block message when you try to contact someone who has specifically blocked you. The message will read "You are blocked by this user, cannot send messages to him".

Add / Change / Delete Images


How do I submit a picture?

Login to Fbuds.com, and click on 'Manage Photo Album' from 'Profile Settings' section. Click the 'Browse' button in order to find your image on your disk/computer. Once you've selected the image you have the option of having it appear on your profile publicly, privately or as a primary photo - you can select this in the radio menu. Next, click on 'Upload New Image' and the process is done. If the image is approved it will appear on your profile within 24 hours. If you don't have a picture on your computer and don't have a digital camera, go to a store like Kinko's and have them scan in a picture for you.
Or, mail your picture along with your username and email address to Sharyland Internet Partners, Inc., P.O. Box 2752, Addison, TX 75001 and we can scan it for you. If you want your pictures returned include a self addressed stamped envelope.

Photo type

Primary Picture - The primary picture will appear to anyone viewing your profile. It must be a picture of you and you alone.
We recommend a face picture or full body picture for best results. Action, group and graphic sexual images can not be used as a primary picture.
Public Picture - These images will appear to any member viewing your photo album. These pictures can be of you in action with your buddy.
Private Pictures - These images will appear in your photo album only for members you have given permissioin to view them.

Uploading Problems.

If you get an error that says you need to login again, click logout, login once more, and go to the images page. Try uploading your image again. If the image is uploaded and then deleted, it means it didn't meet our requirements. Even if your image had no nudity, it may have been indecent or inappropriate for the site. Images are uploaded instantly, if your image is too big it won't upload. If it still doesn't work please contact us.

What are the guidelines for a profile picture?

Images must be in GIF, JPEG, JPE, JPG, PNG, TIFF or TIF format; for best results resize your image to 640x480 or lower resolution. Very large images won't upload successfully. Images depicting, or suggesting, illegal/offensive behavior related to drug use, animals, children, scat, etc. in the opinion of the site operator will be rejected. Images may NOT contain cartoons, illustrations, celebrities or any copyrighted material. You can upload a maximum of 10 images.

How do I delete an image?

To delete an image click on 'Delete Photo' beside your photo.

Why Do I Have To Login Numerous Times When I'm Already Logged In?

In order to prevent the login page from appearing over and over again you need to activate your cookies. You can do this by clicking on Tools on your browser, then Internet Options, then Enable Cookies or set the security setting to anything but High.

How Do I Hide My Profile?

To hide your profile click here!. In order to hide or unhide your profile login to Fbuds.com, and click on 'Visibility Settings' from 'General Settings' section. Here you can check on uncheck 'Show my profile on the site'.

Edit Your Profile


How Do I Edit My Profile?

Login to Fbuds.com, and then click on 'Edit Profile' from 'Profile Settings' section. You can also click here! to edit your profile.

What Are The Guidelines For My Profile Description?

For your own safety, do not include your name, phone number or address. This is the section where you tell the world about yourself. Include your likes, your dislikes, aspirations, and the type of person you'd like to meet. On a final note, don't enter your email address below, because spammers on the internet will find your email address and send you spam.

Forgot My Password


If you forgot your password you can have it emailed to you. Simply enter your email address and the Authentification code here. If you do not get your password your profile may no longer be on Fbuds.com

You can also login with your email address in place of your username if it's still not working.

My Profile Has Disappeared! Why Was My Profile Deleted?
  1. Not enough information in your profile description
  2. Harassment of other users
  3. We immediately delete escorts, scammers, spammers, anyone trying to sell something on Fbuds.com, and anyone trying to direct members to other websites. If your profile did not contain any of the above please accept our apologies as our system wrongly identified you, and you'll have to create a new profile.

How Do I Know If Someone Is A Scammer?

Fbuds.com works hard to make sure scammers are deleted from the database. If anyone asks for money it is likely a scam. There are numerous incidents on all types of dating sites where someone asks for money, gets the money from another user, and then disappears. Don't be fooled by such scams, and be sure to do an official legitimacy check on a person before you send any money.

What Should I Do If I Suspect Someone Is A Scammer / Spammer?

Please contact us immediately if you feel you've come across a scam artist or a spammer. Click here to send us a message.

Missing Messages

  1. If you see a blank user name in your account that means the user has deleted themselves.
  2. If the user has completely vanished along with all messages that means they were deleted by the system.
  3. Cut and paste emails are blocked.
  4. You may only contact 30-50 new people per day
  5. The message may be over a month old, therefore our system may have removed it.

Deleted Profiles


If you go through the process of deleting your profile it is gone for good. We cannot restore your profile. If your account was deleted and you have been banished by the computer that means you broke some rules. The most common reasons for being deleted are:
  1. Like every other major site we block users from Congo, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Senegal, United Arab Emirates, etc.
  2. You must be 18+
  3. A lot of users reported that you were rude/mean.
  4. Soliciting people for any reason or sending spam.
  5. 1 profile per person, no fake profiles, no harassing etc
  6. You didn't complete the sign up process and our system removed your profile.
Fbuds.com is the only major site that regularly removes users we believe are not fit to use our service. About .5% of users are deleted for being repeatedly rude, mean, harassing or insulting to other users.

About Your fBuds


You can find your fBuds list by clicking on 'My fBuds' from 'Bookmarks' section. To add someone to your fBuds list click on the profile of the user, and then click on 'Add to My Fbuds' on the top right hand side of the page. To remove someone from your fBuds simply go to your fBuds list select the checkbox beside their profile photo and click on 'Delete'.

Why Are My Messages Being Blocked?

If you send swears insults or illegal and offensive content to someone your messages might get blocked.

I Do Not Want Any More Email Notifications


You can stop message notifications (sent out when you get a message) in 'Visibility Settings' from 'General Settings' section. Just check 'Do not send me any email notifications new messages received'.

Viewed me


The site records what profiles you have visited for a period of 1 week and then displays it on the Who Saw Me page. Hidden profiles won't show up on the viewme page and you can stop yourself from being tracked via the Visibility settings page

Username Search


To look up a member by username go to search and then 'Search by Username'. It's better to put part of the name rather than the whole name.

I Want My Username To Disappear From Fbuds.com Once I Logout


If you want your username and password to disappear after you logout you need to delete your cookies. Simply go to Tools, Internet Options, and the delete your cookies. You can also delete your temporary files.

Deleting Old Messages


You can delete messages by clicking on the checkbox beside the message, and clicking on 'Delete selected messages'.
